Gaffney A. Jarrell was raised in Atlanta, where she studied at the Alliance Theatre Company. She is a self-taught artist. Atlanta knows her as the “Heartist” because of her abstract painted hearts. In 2010 she replaced her hearts with brightly colored abstract landscapes. Gaffney was chosen as “Female Artist of the Year” in 2011 by Belle Magazine. Most recently, Gaffney was included in the book “Artists Among Us”, highlighting 100 of Spartanburg’s local artists.

Final Hotel decision
Well, they've made a decision, but no money has exchanged hands.........they like the leaves which are 24 by 24 inch and they are only choosing 2 of them and making them into prints measuring 36 by 36 inch.
Third try is a charm.
I'm still working on the commissioned piece for the hotel and they didn't like the abstract or the grid. They asked for something with nature, so I gathered up some leaves and things from outside my house and here is what i came up with. They still wanted something fairly large so I chose to put it on three canvas' as a grouping they could spread out or put close together on the wall (s) of their choosing. So here it is 3 canvas' at 23 by 36 inch each, priced at 3400.00.
